Hi, I'm Melody.
I live in England and am 36 years old. But I have been a fan of Sharon's since I was 24.
I first became interested in her when I had was going to a costume party and had tried to do my make like an Egyptian princess. Obviously not very successfully as when my dad came in he said "you look like Sharon Tate"(I wish) So I started to try and find out who she was and it all started from there. She even inspired me to get my beloved yorkie ziggy, who sadly passed away yesterday.
The reason I would love to be part of this board is to chat to others who think Sharon was a truly beautiful, gentle wonderful person, who should never be forgotten.

hi my name is Julie. I first found out about Sharon in the mid 70's when HS was first released. even though there was not a whole lot about her in life there was enough to intrigue me. over the years I have read anything i could find on her. She was as beautiful a person inside as she was on the outside. Her beauty trancends time. Photos of her could have been taken yesterday not 45 years ago! I wish Icould have known her. thank you so much for this proboard devoted to Sharon!

Hello everyone Name: Jason Age: 48 Location: Australia How I became aware of Sharon: I was looking at some video clips on You tube regarding Bruce Lee, and on the right hand side related video's, I saw a small black and white photo of a gorgeous blond girl, I clicked on the video, and remembered her name from news reports over the years on television, and thought oh no that must be the actress that they were talking about...  I have never in all my life seen a more beautiful girl than Sharon Tate, and I've been a fan ever since and wanted to learn more about this wonderful lady, who as well as being a talented actress, according to the lucky people that knew her, say she was a very sweet and kind human being... |

Hi I'm Kathryn from Virginia! I just turned 53 the 6th of this month, & I first became aware of Sharon when I was around 6, & from that time on I always tried to find any pictures and information I could about her. And back then there was hardly anything out there. So glad this Board was created to celebrate her life. She always seemed like such a sweet Lady, as well as gorgeous. I always wanted to know about Sharon Tate and her family.

Hello,
I'm Mike Sanchez and I run the Sensational Sharon Tate blog.
I've loved Sharon since I was a kid too. I saw her originally in a late night version of "The Fearless Vampire Killers." During the screening, my father told me what happened to her and it saddened me.
But now, it is like she is alive again with all the fans. So thank you to all the fans who help keep her memory alive!

How You Became Aware of Sharon: It started in 9th grade when I saw her E True Hollywood Story. I was fascinated by the circumstances of her life, and absolutely captivated by her beauty and gentle spirit. From that moment on I actively sought out all material on her. My parents are just two years younger than Sharon. They remember seeing her films in the theater and reading about her in the papers. My mom was pregnant with my oldest sister at the time of Sharon's pregnancy, as well. As silly as it may sound, I have always felt a very deep connection with her (as I'm sure everyone here does).Her relationships, especially with Roman, I emphatically relate to. She has been, is now, and forever will be a HUGE inspiration to me!
Why You Joined: I joined because I religiously visit the tumblr page! Her photos always breathe new life into me. I am a burlesque performer and do vintage inspired pin up modeling, too. Sharon serves as a constant muse for me. I often work some sort of nod to her in everything I do, whether it is recreating her pictorials or performing to music from her films. My burlesque name is Sadie, which I often get flack for in relation to my Sharon obsession. But Sadie has been my family nickname since childhood and I feel that since my love for her comes from a pure place, my stage name does her justice. I honor her life and beauty, nothing else, every day!

How You Became Aware of Sharon: I was aware of Sharon as a child, but I was really too young to understand fully who she was at the time. I just knew that when I saw her on TV, I stopped and watched because there was something about her that captured my attention. Mainly it was Beverly Hillbillies (as Janet Trego) in reruns but when she was taken from us, all we ever saw thereafter was media speculation and stories about the cult members who stole her from us.
Why You Joined: I joined because, as I stated above, the media distorted her into "Sharon Tate: manson cult victim" in order to sell tabloids, books and newspapers and generate viewership. Recently, while looking on Amazon, I came across a book that her sister Debra had written, and I ordered it. I enjoyed it so much I read it in one sitting, and began searching for videos of her movies. So I joined because I think the focus should be on how she lived rather than how she died.
